Nemvio vs. Twilio

A raw API, or a system already built?

Twilio is a global CPaaS platform: an API developers use to build whatever they need from scratch. Nemvio is not an alternative to Twilio. It is what you choose instead of hiring someone to build on Twilio.

In short

What Twilio sells

The raw material. An API and documentation. What comes out of them depends on who writes the code.

What Nemvio sells

The result. The virtual assistant, the website, and the automations, built and maintained by us.

What you are comparing

These are not the same thing, and that is fine

We are not a direct alternative. They sell access to the channel, we sell the system built on top of it.

Twilio gives you

  • API access and SDKs, for developers
  • Several channels in the same infrastructure: WhatsApp, SMS, voice
  • Documentation. You build the rest.

Nemvio gives you

  • A system already built: virtual assistant, website, and panel
  • The building and the maintenance, done by us, not by you
  • Two people you talk to directly, not a ticket

The real cost

What you pay, end to end

Including the lines that appear on nobody’s pricing page: the build and the maintenance.

With Twilio

  • A Twilio commission of roughly $0.005 per message
  • Meta's per-category rates (marketing, utility, authentication)
  • Development: someone has to build the assistant and everything around it
  • Maintenance, for as long as the system runs

With Nemvio

  • A published price, from 349 lei a month, with or without a build fee
  • The build included: you don't separately pay someone to write the code
  • The first 30 days after launch, included
  • Maintenance, through a monthly subscription

Twilio's figures are public and may change. Check their pricing page for the current numbers. The cost of development depends on who does it and how complex the build is, which is why it appears on nobody's pricing page.

Comparison

Where they actually differ

Only the criteria that genuinely differ, without hiding where Twilio is the better choice.

When we are not the answer

We start with the cases where we would tell you not to pick us. They are real and you should know them upfront.

Do not choose Nemvio if

  • You already have developers and want your own software product
  • You want WhatsApp, SMS, and voice in the same technical infrastructure
  • You want control at code level, not a system built by someone else

Choose Nemvio if

  • You want a working virtual assistant without writing or maintaining code
  • You want website, virtual assistant, and panel as one system, not three projects
  • You prefer a clear price upfront, not a bill that moves with volume

If what you want to build is your own software product, not a ready-to-use system, Twilio genuinely is the better fit. We will say so in the first conversation, not after we start.

FAQ

Questions about this

What people ask most often when comparing the two.

01

Does Nemvio use Twilio under the hood?

No. We build directly on the official WhatsApp Business platform, with no extra intermediary between you and Meta.
02

Can I move from Twilio to Nemvio without losing my number?

Yes. Meta allows migrating a WhatsApp Business API number between providers, without losing the number or already-approved templates.
03

If I already have a developer, does Nemvio still make sense?

It depends what they are building. If the goal is your own software product, no. If the goal is for the bot, site, and panel to just work without someone keeping them alive, yes.
